Monkeys can count!
It always amazes me that people think that they are so smart, and BoingBoing’s article Counting Monkeys proves it. It’s well known that higher mammals and dolphins are intelligent, but people are always investigating other animals. This from higher mammals who destroys it’s own living environment.
Both monkeys [eight-year-old female macaques] did better than 50:50 – one added the sights and sounds correctly 72% of the time, the other 66% of the time.
