MIT Improved Solar Cells
As a matter of fact, I was discussing yesterday evening, if only I was caught up to my /.. The friends I went to yesterday have some solar cells in their backyard which they use primarily for charging batteries, because of the weather in the Netherlands we often get some cloud cover. When it’s really thick the yield for the cells can fall down to a couple percent.
At MIT they’ve been working on a method of making it more efficient. in the article MIT opens new ‘window’ on solar energy they say they can increases the electrical power obtained from each solar cell “by a factor of over 40.” FAQ
