General Musing

I’m watching The Bonfire of the Vanities on the TV, and I remember the first time I saw it. I didn’t like it. The book on the other hand was really good. Somehow the casting of Tom Hanks and Melanie Griffith was not for me. Besides from the fact that I recall Maria Ruskin as being Latino, even though that might be wrong.

I like Tom Wolfe, that is to say I loved The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, but read nothing else with the exception of Bonfire. A friend of mine did give me a Dutch language version of Hooking Up.

Anyway, back to watching the film.
