Have you tried acupuncture for your migraines? It works very well, doesn't have any side effects and doesn't hurt (seriously). You should find a good acupuncturist in your area. I've helped enough people become migraine-free that I think it's something every migraine sufferer should consider.

There is a lot of phenomenal information out there on migraines.

A really great source of information can be found at emedicine.com.

Also in 2002 one of the Annals of Neurology publications presented a great work on how vitamin B2 (200mg) can really help to significantly reduce the severity and incidence of migraines.

This does mean though that at the first sign of a migraine (such auras (a halo around lights that people who suffer from migraines often experience), pings (audible sounds that come before someone starts having migraines)....and the like) that one begins the Vitamin B2 regimen.

Usually you begin with 200mg B2 each day for one week, stop taking it for one week, and then take the same regimen for another week.

In many cases this may not work though, and a more expensive alternate involves medications called "triptans" (is Rizatriptan, Zolmitriptan...etc).

I hope this hasn't given you a headache!
