YouTube to end-of-life IE6 support March 13 #youtube #ie
I use Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 6 to run Adobe Flash, in a sandbox, it’s they only place that I run Flash. (If I’m going to be unsafe, I might as well be really exposed.) Today I saw for the first time during a slow load that they are dropping support for IE6.

Microsoft Office Installer woes #fix #installer
For the last couple of months my copy of Microsoft Office 2003 had become corrupted, naturally the OEM vendor’s solution was to use the disk provided and just overwrite the whole installation. This machine is my primary machine and although I don’t use Office very often, preferring Google Docs, I do use it.

My second story is about my grandmother, Estelle (I am 42 years old and not too proud to tell you that I call her Nanny). Nanny got her first PC in 1992 soon after I came to Microsoft. In 1995 she got her second PC — I was excited about Windows 95 and so was she. In late 2001, I sent a mail to all of my family members telling them that I would only help them with their PC if they were running Windows XP, so my grandmother ran out and bought an XP machine.
So Mike Nash calls his grandmother Nanny, I’m 30 and call mine Nana, I’d get a smack if I called her violent Violet, he also forces her to buy a new computer so she can run Windows XP… That’s one way to earn money… (Nevermind I’m just being sarcastic…)
