Google+ Birthday Wishes

Thanks to Google+ my followers will learn that I am having a birthday soon. I just received the popup below, so I assume you will be getting it soon too.

Are you sharing? Do you think Robert Scoble will throw a wobbler about this in Steve Gillmor‘s Gang? 🙂

Another year older #birthday

leave a comment »

Today I turned another year older, and just like most years I will be marking that occasion. I will likely be having a little get together in the park, nothing too ambitious. 😉

Gifts are always welcome, although I know that there is somebody out there who could use a gift from you: The gift of sight. ()

Birthday Greetings

leave a comment »

There are a number of greetings for this year, Mattel’s Barbie turns 50 this year. You’d never guess to look at her.

DC Comics is turning 75, and Batman is 70 which makes him a year younger than Superman. Don’t ask me how old Albert, he must be pushing up the daisies by now.

Marvel also turns 70, it founded as Timely Publications in 1939. Their first hero was Human Torch.

Sesame Street turns middle aged at 40.

Licensing Real Fictional Birthdays

This morning I am a little late with the first post, and should have really prepared something the evening before. As I walked to the computer I noticed my copy of Global License! lying there and I had been meaning to browse it for the last weeks. It’s good that I did, because I discovered that Mickey Mouse turns 80 this year, and Walt Disney Company turns 85.
